Mango Fashion, Cardiff

MANGO, the fashion retailer for young, urban women could soon be coming to Cardiff.  It was revealed by St David's that they are in contact with Mango with a view to signing them up for a Cardiff store.

Although no store opening has been announced, perhaps it is only a matter of time before Mango set up shop in Cardiff.  If the retailer were to open in Cardiff, it would be the retailer's first store in Wales. 

Back in September 2009, the Cardiff Shopper wrote an article stating that Hollister, Urban Outfitters and Mango could all soon be coming to Cardiff.  Since that article, Hollister have opened in Cardiff and Urban Outfitters have confirmed their store opening for late 2010. 

Will Mango make it a hat-trick of signings for Cardiff?

Quiz Clothing Cardiff

Quiz Clothing, the women's fashion, footwear and accessories retailer is set to open a store in Cardiff.  The new store will be located in St David's Way, St David's opposite Wallis.

Quiz is a dynamic fast fashion retailer that focuses on delivering catwalk style looks and all the latest trends at value for money prices.  It aims to bring the latest fashions from the catwalks quickly to the shop floor.

The retailer was founded in 1995 and began trading with 3 stores in Scotland.  The stores proved to be extremely successful and Quiz has now grown to include 70 stores across the UK.  The brand also has stores in Europe, the Middle East and South-East Asia. 

Quiz will be competing with the likes of New Look, Lipsy, Miss Selfridge and Peaocks for the attention of the fashion conscious women in Cardiff. 

The store is due to open in September 2010.

USC set to move into St David's

USC set to move into St David's, Cardiff

USC, the fashion retailer, is set to open a new store on the Upper Ground level of the Grand Arcade in St David's. The planned store will be located opposite Mothercare and next door to Blue Inc.  The store is due to open in October 2010.

With a striking emphasis on denim and footwear as well as male and female fashion, the St David’s outlet will be the second in the country to showcase a fresh new format.  The all new 9,621 sq ft store will offer customers a one-stop-shop to all the major brands including Diesel, G-Star, Replay and Adidas.

The current USC Cardiff store is located at 53 Queen Street.  It is unclear whether USC plan to relocate from their current location or operate two stores in Cardiff.  Other fashion retailers which operate two stores in the city include H&M and New Look.

In moving into St David's, USC will join the likes of Republic, Cult, Henleys, Jack & Jones and Fenchurch.

Republic Cardiff - New Flagship Store

Republic, the UK’s leading multi-brand fashion retailer, has today opened its new double-fronted store in St David's / Dewi Sant, Cardiff.  The store is located on the Upper Level of the Grand Arcade.

The decision to open a second store in Cardiff was due to the success of its other store in the old part of St David's.  The new 12,500-sq ft store is considerably bigger than its other store which will allow the fashion chain to extend its product line and have a larger collection within the store.

Republic offers all the latest fashion styles from top brands such as G-Star, Bench, Henleys, Soul Cal and Miso.

Ed Hardy to open Cardiff Store

Ed Hardy by Christian Audigier is coming to Cardiff.  The tattoo-inspired Los Angeles fashion brand worn by the likes of Madonna, Kanye West and David Beckham will be available in Cardiff towards the end of the summer. 

The new 2,300 sq ft store will be located in the Hayes alongside All Saints and Hugo Boss and opposite Urban Outfitters.  The Cardiff store will be one of the first regional Ed Hardy stores in the UK, the others being in Birmingham and Glasgow.

Luke 1977 - Cardiff Mens Fashion

Male clothing brand Luke 1977 is set to open a new store in St. David’s on the 5th August 2010.

Luke 1977 is an independently owned UK designer label known for its edgy, detailed and practical contemporary menswear. The brand was co-founded by Luke Roper, from whom the brand name derives.

The store will stock a wide range of menswear including shirts / polo’s, jackets, knitwear, denim, footwear and accessories.  Celebrities who are known to have worn Luke 1977 include David Beckham and the Kaiser Chiefs.

The Cardiff store will be the first Luke 1977 store in Wales.

Urban Outfitters - Cardiff Store

Urban Outfitters have confirmed they will open a flagship Cardiff store later this year in Autumn 2010. 

The 23,500 sq ft store will be located in the former David Morgan department store on The Hayes, which was previously occupied by Borders bookstore.

Urban Outfitters has become a destination store for many shoppers in the UK. The stores stock a range of boutique brands alongside established labels such as Franklin & Marshall, Fred Perry and G-Star.

The retailer currently has 12 stores in the UK in cities such as London, Belfast, Bristol, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds, Liverpool and Manchester. 

The Cardiff store will be the first Urban Outfitters in Wales.
